Nick Martineau, Senior Pastor
In 2005, shortly after we were married, my wife Liz and I moved to Wichita to live in the same city with some of our best friends. In that first year here, we found ourselves church shopping -- much like some of you who are reading this. We were invited to Hope by some friends and fell in love with a community that was all about JESUS.
Soon after that first week, we became full fledged Hopesters and haven't looked back!
In 2006, I came on staff part time to oversee our College and Young Adult ministry. In 2011, I moved full time into what started out as the Pastor of Connection and Adult Ministries, which later became the Executive Pastor position.
It was in 2017 that Hope's Founding Pastor Steve Weldon and I traded roles and I became the Senior Pastor. Because of this unique transition into the Senior Pastor role, I'm often filled with gratitude, knowing that my friends and those who deeply know me asked me to be their pastor. It's one of the greatest honors of my life!
Liz and I were married in 2005, and we have 3 kids -- Jewel, Noah, and Moses. I got my Masters of Divinity from Baylor University (Go Bears!) and my Doctorate from George Fox University.
