What is baptism?

At Hope, we practice baptism as an outward sign of an inner surrender to Jesus. The Bible says that all professing Christians should be baptized (Matthew 28:18-20).

We welcome anyone who knows Jesus as their Savior, adults and children. (Everyone is required to take a class about baptism beforehand.)

How do I get baptized?

Whether you've been following Jesus for a long time and never got baptized, or you're a new Christian, we'd be honored to baptize you! We do require that you take a one-session class on baptism before.

Our 2025 baptism classes are available August 17 through September 3. There are classes for kids, as well and teens and adults.

This button will take you to more info and the sign-up for classes.

What is Baptism Sunday?

Each year we have one big all-church Baptism service outside on our grounds, usually in September. It starts with worship, then we baptize and celebrate! Hope supplies the food, you bring lawn chairs for you and your crew, and together we'll celebrate the new life in Jesus that our friends and family are affirming by getting baptized!
