KIDS OF HOPE

Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me..."

Matthew 19:14

In Kids of Hope, we strive to bring children closer to Jesus.  Kids learn that the Bible is not just nice stories full of rules, it's ONE BIG STORY and every single story points to Jesus. Kids worship and learn in a large group format, then lessons are reinforced in small age-specific groups, while developing relationships with teachers and friends.

Info for your first visit

We want to help make your first visit reassuring for you and your kiddo(s). We offer a nursery for infants, and worship and learning designed for specific ages.

Kids' classes begins at 9:00 and 10:45, but kids are also welcome to worship with their parents in the Barn and then join their class at the coffee break. Do what works best for you!

Registration
When you're ready to check in, ask a greeter to direct you, or go to the original building (not the Barn). When you walk through the doors under the breezeway, look straight ahead: we're the big metal desk under the "Kids of Hope" sign.

Here you can scan a QR code or use our computer to get all your information in.  We'll then show you how to check in to our security system using the last 4 digits of your phone number.  You will get 3 types of stickers.
1-Name Sticker for each kid-this goes on their shirt.  Babies have an extra for their diaper bag.
2-A roster sticker that says, "Please give this to your child's teacher" which has safety, allergy and emergency information about your child.  Please hand this to your child's teacher.
3-Your security sticker. Please present your security sticker to the teacher to pick up your child. This unique code will be matched to your children.

What is break and when do classes start?
Classes begins at 9:00 and 10:45, kids are welcome to come in then, or to worship with their parents and then join their classes. We use crafts, stem, play, and worship to help kids know and love Jesus.

For children who'd like to stay with their parent in the Barn, we offer an outline to help them follow along with the sermon.

Nursery
Trying out a new church is hard with littles! For kids under two years, we'll ask you to fill out an extra form with your care preferences. We ask additional questions, including things like nap and crying preferences.

My child is crying at drop off... what do I do?
That's up to you! You know your child best, and we'll work with you however you're comfortable to help your child love church.  Do you want us to text you if they don't calm down in two minutes?  Do you want us to work with them a little longer?  Do you need to stay and help with the transition? It's your call.

My child has special needs.
We'd love to have them! We usually keep our younger special needs students in an age or developmentally appropriate classroom with a 1:1 buddy. Older students have the option of going to their age class with a buddy or joining our "Wings of Hope" room. This is a special sensory room that our students LOVE.  We'd love to give you a tour or talk to you more about your child's needs.  For that, please contact Shauna Bussard.
Kids of Hope uses Wonder Ink Curriculum by David C Cook.  We love how our classroom teachers can get smaller groups of kids engaged in the Bible through games, discussion and digging into the Bible!  Kids can start at the beginning of service worshipping with parents or they can start in their classrooms with lesson games and activities.

Take Wonder Ink home! Engage your children at home with  lessons, videos and discussion questions!
