Jolene Seal, Volunteer & Connection Pastor
I was a senior in high school the first time I asked God to help me see someone the way He does, and He's been answering that prayer ever since. I really love Jesus and want to help people experience the love and healing He promises.
I believe God created all of us with gifts and passions to be used in community, but I know it can be really hard to figure out what that looks like. In my job, I get to help people find where they fit at Hope, and walk with them as they discover what God has for them.
I first attended a women's Bible study at Hope in January of 2011, and my family became Hopesters the following spring. Prior to being on staff, I was a volunteer on our women's ministry team, co-lead that team, served on the missions team and leadership team. I came on staff in January of 2020 as the volunteer coordinator for the kids ministry team. At the end of 2021 I transitioned off that team and nervously into my pastoral role in January of 2022. I'm thankful and humbled that the Lord has chosen to use me the way He has.
I married my really awesome husband Jeff in April of 2007 and it's been all kinds of adventure since then! We have three incredible children, Alexis, Keaton, and Emma, and I feel so blessed to be raising them in a church community like Hope.
I think most people will be surprised to learn I consider myself a very outgoing introvert. I have a huge capacity for being with people and serving them, but to truly recharge I have to retreat. I cherish being alone or just with people who truly know me.
Also, I love coffee and cake.
