Charlie Wells, Executive Pastor
I love being a pastor here! The Lord brought me to this role via a very unique path —from being a wrangler at a summer camp, to slinging food and drinks as a sports bar manager to various communications and branding roles. I'm not the typical “Pastor” you might think of, and that's one reason I love Hope.
I joined staff in 2018 as the Executive Pastor. I love being involved in all the different aspects of the church and the ministries here at Hope, seeing our amazing staff use their giftings to love on Hopesters and those in our community. In Febrary 2024, also I took on the Missions role, and I'm excited to develop relationships with our missionaries who are sharing Jesus’ love around the globe.
My wife Amanda and I have been attending Hope since 2002 when we were dating. The genuineness and authenticity we felt made us feel welcome each week. And the focus on Jesus first and “majoring on the majors” has kept us here. We were married in 2006 and have two kids — Oliver and Anna. When I’m not doing family or church things, you can find me fishing, enjoying the outdoors, or watching Liverpool FC, the greatest team in the world…YNWA!
