What Are You Thankful For

At the end of every year we start to see the “Best of the Year” lists pop up. The “Top 10 Movies
of 2022,” “The 10 most Powerful Images of 2022,” “The Most Influential Person of the Year,”
etc…

The end of the year also provides us with the opportunity to look back and celebrate what the
Heavenly Father has done this year. While I would never encourage a person to constantly be
looking in the “rearview mirror,” I do think it is good to intentionally take some time to look
back, see the blessings of this past year, and be thankful.

This has been a full year for my family. This year our family moved into a new home, our
daughter started driving, our kids having been having fun in all sorts of activities, and many more things happened that I won’t take the time to list here.

This has also been an epic year for Hope. We had 62 people baptized on Baptism Sunday, our
Recovery Ministry grew exponentially this year, we raised over $145,000 for refugees (Ukrainian
and through Ride4Refugees), and we had a record number at Vacation Bible School. There are
many more incredible things the Heavenly Father did here at Hope this year. What stands out to you? I’d love for you to take some time, look back at 2022, and shoot me an email
(nmartineau@hopecc.net) with some of your highlights from this past year.

And don’t forget that the year isn’t over yet!

I hope you’ll invite family and friends, and join us on Christmas Eve for our family friendly
Candlelight Services (2:30pm, 4:00pm, and 5:30pm)!

And please don’t forget to keep praying for our finances here at Hope! (End of the Year giving
Deadline: Dropped off in the office by Noon, Friday, Dec. 30; online till midnight on Dec. 31; or
if mailed, postmarked by Dec. 31.)

Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever. (1 Chronicles 16:34)

Peace,
Nick
