2022 has been a great year for our church family! We have seen our ministries and programs return to “normal” and have seen the Heavenly Father do immeasurably more than we could ask or imagine.
We saw sixty-two Hopesters baptized this year!
We had more than 410 kids participate in our annual Vacation Bible School, with more than 160 volunteers help us pull it off!
We had record participation in our Men’s and Women’s Bible studies!
We had a record number of middle schoolers join us at Hope, with more than eighty students participating in our middle school ministry!
Our Bullfrogs & Butterflies Preschool and our MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) ministry have both been busting at the seams and proving to be a great outreach to our community!
A year ago, we increased our energy and efforts in walking with those in recovery. Since then we’ve seen a record number of Hopesters (more than one hundred) faithfully engage in our recovery ministries.
For Hopesters, 2022 will be known as the year of coming alongside refugees. Early in 2022 we raised more than $25,000 to help Ukrainian refugees, and later in 2022 we saw our Ride 4 Refugees team lead us in raising more than $120,000 for refugees. Truly an epic and beautiful thing!
I could easily go on to share many other highlights from 2022.
The flip side to all of these great things happening in our church family is that we are also seeing a great need.
Last Sunday, Pastor Charlie shared that our staff has underspent our general giving budget by approximately $50,000. I’m grateful for our staff’s ability to stretch the dollar and for being frugal. However, with six weeks left in the year, we are still left with a record need.
At the time of writing this newsletter, we still need $514,600 for us to reach our end-of-the-year need and to start 2023 in a healthy financial position.
It’s a big number! Will you pray for our church family as we close out this record year? Will you prayerfully consider playing your part and generously give to this need?
