This might look a little weird…

Picture this: you’re an alien landing in Andover, KS (of all places!) or maybe just a friend with zero church background, and you stumble onto our Baptism Sunday. You see us dunking people underwater while everyone claps, cheers, and maybe even sheds a tear. You’d probably think, “Wait… is this some kind of Kansas pool party cult?”

But here’s the deal: what looks odd at first is actually one of the most beautiful things you could witness. Baptism is a symbol that’s been around for thousands of years. It’s the way we show that we’ve died to our old way of life and are raised to new life in Jesus. It’s public, it’s bold, and it’s a huge step of faith.

When someone gets baptized, they’re saying, “I’m all in with Jesus. He’s my King, and I’m on His team.” That’s worth celebrating with every shout, cheer, and Yay, God! we’ve got.

So, this Sunday at 10:00am on the basketball courts, bring your blanket or chair, snag some good seats, and plan on sticking around because we're providing lunch for everyone! It’s going to be one of those days you’ll be glad you showed up for. See you there—aliens, neighbors, friends, and all.

peace,
Nick
